How to Start an AI Ecommerce Business with Shopify and Make Money Online as a Beginner

Step 1: Get Started with Shopify

The first thing you need to do is click the link in the description below. This link will take you to the Shopify store builder, which is a tool that builds an online store for you in minutes. Next, you’ll be asked what niche you want to sell in. For those who already have a business, select your niche. For others, pick whatever niche most closely matches your idea. Let’s say you’re interested in fashion apparel. You would select that option and click “Done.”

Now it’s time to select some images for your homepage. You’ll be shown a few options, but if you’re not a fan of them, don’t worry! You can always add your own images later. Shopify makes it super easy to upload and change images once your store is up and running. So, choose what you like for now and click “Done.”

Step 4: Create Your Shopify Account

Once your store’s setup begins, it’s time to create a Shopify account. The first 3 days are free, and after that, you’ll pay just $1 for the next 30 days. Shopify does this to give beginners enough time to get their store up and running before they need to pay the full subscription cost. Enter your email address and create a password, then select “Start Free Trial.” Shopify will verify you’re a human (since AI can’t sign up for itself). Answer a few quick questions, like which country you’re from, and select “I’m just starting out.”

For the business type, choose “Dropshipping” or “Digital Products” depending on what you’re planning to sell. After that, sign up, and you’ll have your Shopify account ready to go.

Step 5: Connect Shopify with the AI

Head back to the AI tool and click “Done.” Then, copy your store link from Shopify and paste it into the AI tool, then press “Done” again. Next, you’ll need to select your Shopify plan. Remember, the first 3 days are free, and the first month costs just $1. After that, you can choose the basic plan, which costs $29 per month.

Next, Shopify will ask for your business address. If you don’t have one yet, you can skip this step by clicking “Add Later.” Then, head back to the AI tool and click “Install App” to install the AutodS app on Shopify. This app will allow you to import products to your store automatically.

Create an account with AutodS using the same email address you used earlier but with a different password for security. Select “Shopify” as your selling channel and choose the “Starter 500” plan (which is free for the first 30 days). Click “Add Store” and continue to install the app.

Step 7: Customize Your Store

Once the AutodS app is installed, it will import your products into your store. Your store will be pre-built with winning products that are proven to sell. To view your store, click “Online Store” on the left sidebar of Shopify, then click the “View Your Store” button.

Your homepage will be set up, and it will feature your chosen images, along with products imported from AutodS. If you’re a dropshipper, you can keep the imported products, but if you’re selling your own products, go into the back-end and remove them. Add your own products by clicking “Add Product,” and fill in details like the name, price, photos, and descriptions.

AutodS also automatically imports customer reviews for you, which you can use to build trust with potential buyers. You can replace these reviews with ones from your own customers as your store grows. Remember, the more positive reviews you have, the more likely new customers are to trust your store.

At the bottom of your store, you’ll find legal pages like your shipping policies, return policies, terms and conditions, and FAQs. These are pre-written for you, saving you a ton of time!

Step 8: Final Customization and Sales Strategy

Although your store is technically ready to sell, if you’re dropshipping, you’ll want to add your logo, change product descriptions, and make other adjustments to match your brand’s identity. To edit your Shopify store, go to the dashboard, click “Online Store,” and then “Customize.” From here, you can change everything, like updating shipping times, adding your logo, and adjusting text blocks.
